Well I gotta have it - sharing thoughts

I've a new job with which I'm very happy. I work at a Tel - Aviv located computer service for a NY Art gallery. Basically, I get paid to look at Art websites and handle some of the e-mails. To me this is the perfect dream job come true. Not only that, it's also in walking distance from my first job as an usher at the National Theater and from where I practice Yoga. The past two weeks have indeed been a true blessing.

As part of my work, I'm exposed to many things. Like breathtaking Art and bussiness ideas I was unaware of. Not to mention stuff I really enjoy like getting an e-mail from a Canadian Artist living in the Yukon who would like a mention of her "partial-Native" heritage at her website blurb. A quick glance at wikipedia taught me that there are 14 "First Nations" living in the Yukon and that the term is used for Native People who are NOT Inuit or Métis. So she better state which of these 14 nations she feels related to don't you think?:)

The image is from the 'Sæmundar og Snorra Edda' and Samantha Simpson has a blog you should be reading. These I found out on my own, without the aid of the spider spirt working on my office computer.

I enjoy the image because it bring to my mind the lines from "Rime of the Ancient Mariner":

Which, I think, are also about Art. That thing we all got to have, and once we do, cling to it and move on to buy something else. These objects that some of us spend lives and fortune gathering and keeping and mock us by staying on long after we're dead.
